Love More Worry Less Quote

I know I’ve said this before but I just love getting Word Art e-mails from Rebecca. For some reason or other, most of them speak to me and this Love More Worry Less Quote is no exception.

This week I am waiting and I have another week and a half  to wait yet. Anyone who knows me well, knows that waiting isn’t a strong suit of mine. Waiting allows for a lot of thinking time and sometimes that isn’t good. This week I continue to wait for the results of the lumpectomy I had a week and a half ago. I still have some pain and I definitely have a scar and a lot of bruising. While I wait it’s hard for me not to worry what the results will show, even though I had a needle biopsy that came back benign. Isn’t that crazy? Or maybe it’s normal. Either way, I seem to be wired to worry. So for me keeping worry to a minimum can sometimes be a struggle. I have noticed when I turn my gaze outward, my worry decreases. So like this quote implies, loving others and putting their needs above our own decreases our worry. What a great solution! Care for others, because it’s a practical way to make things better, while worry accomplishes nothing. In the end, what will be, will be.

I think the bible sums worrying up perfectly in Luke 12:25-26:

“And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters?”

So while I wait, I will choose to love others, focus on looking outward and trusting God with my tomorrows.

Love More, Worry Less Quote

Thanks Rebecca, for getting me to refocus!
